New course and teams of De Brabantse Pijl presented

Organisers Flanders Classics and WSC Rode Sportief presented the course for De Brabantse Pijl 2025. With the start of the men’s race this year in Beersel, the riders get to tackle their first climb in the Pajottenland at the very beginning of the race. The women follow an identical course from Lennik which, as is the tradition, ends with 3 local laps in Overijse.

In addition to a new slot in the calendar, De Brabantse Pijl now also has a new starting location - at least for the men. Beersel will host the start on Friday 18 April and will continue to do so for the next 4 years. The race kicks off at 13:10 in the beautiful surroundings of Huizingen Provincial Domain, from where the riders embark on a ride of 175 km that features 22 climbs.

With a start in the middle of Pajottenland, the wait for the first climb is not a long one. After 6 km, the peloton faces its first climb on Beersel territory. The Alsemberg, followed by the Bruine Put, are first on the menu. The riders then move on to Lennik, where a passage on the Markt is expected at around 13:50. After that, it is back to Beersel once more, this time for the Beerselberg and the Bruine Put. 

In previous editions, the peloton headed towards Beersel after the start in Leuven to visit the hills of the Pajottenland. The crossing to the Druivensteek in 2025 remains unchanged, once again taking in the climbs of the Eigenbrakelsesteenweg, Rue de Nivelles and Rue François Dubois. With some 75 km to go, the peloton reaches the finish in Overijse for the first time after an initial passage on the Hertstraat, Holstheide, and S-bocht Overijse.

Following this, the peloton takes on the three customary local laps in Overijse. Each lap is about 20 km long and features the climbs of Hertstraat, Moskesstraat, Holstheide, and S-bocht Overijse. At around 17:15, the successor to Benoit Cosnefroy should be known.
