Scheldeprijs 2025 welcomes these women's teams

Road  14/02/2025

On Wednesday, April 9, the women's peloton will once again arrive in Schoten for a new edition of the Scheldeprijs. Will Lorena Wiebes make it five in a row, or will we see a new name on the honorary list? Find out below which teams will be at the start.

2025 marks the 5th edition of the women’s race. The course for this 5th edition is unchanged. As in previous years, the starting signal will sound on the Churchilllaan in Schoten, this year on 9 April at 11:40. Before tackling the three local laps with the cobblestones of Broekstraat in Schoten, the route takes the riders on a loop through Brasschaat, Kapellen, Kalmthout, and Wuustwezel before heading back to Schoten via Hoogstraten and Brecht.

With her four consecutive wins, Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes is the only name on the Scheldeprijs honorary list. It is entirely possible that, on 9 April, Wiebes will win for the fifth time which would equal Marcel Kittel’s record in the men’s event. Starting for Team Picnic PostNL will be Charlotte Kool, the runner-up in 2023 and 2024. Another team competing in the race for the Scheldeprijs is Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto, the new team of Chiara Consonni who has already appeared twice on the podium in Schoten. A total of 7 UCI Women’s WorldTeams, 4 UCI Women’s ProTeams and 10 UCI Women’s Continental teams will be at the start in Schoten:
