TUDOR is the official timekeeper of the Flanders Classics spring classics

Through a new partnership with Flanders Classics, TUDOR will become the official timekeeper of the Belgian organiser’s spring classics.

In this brand new cooperation between Tudor and Flanders Classics, which focusses on all 6 Flanders Classics spring classics, the Tour of Flanders should become the highlight of the partnership. Why? The Tour of Flanders has cemented its reputation over more than a century as such an important race that it’s colloquially become simply known as “De Ronde”. Locals call it "Vlaanderens Mooiste".

For Flanders Classics, the parent organization that organizes a total of 6 spring classics for both Men and Women Elite in Belgium like the Gent-Wevelgem or Omloop het Nieuwsblad, this partnership is a perfect kick off for the classics season. “We’re excited to announce Tudor as our official timekeeper”, says Flanders Classics CEO Tomas Van Den Spiegel. “Starting this Saturday we’ll be joining forces at Omloop het Nieuwsblad. It will not only be the perfect kick off for a new classics season but also the ideal backdrop to launch this partnership that includes all 6 Flanders Classics spring classics. Therefore we are already looking forward to welcoming Tudor in the Flemish spring, starting in Ghent this weekend.”

The Tour of Flanders is one of the five prestigious Monuments in cycling. One of the defining characteristics of the Tour of Flanders is the high frequency of incredibly intense cobbled climbs that riders must contend with. While De Ronde isn’t particularly known for its elevation gain, it’s certainly known for the epic moments during the race where riders are packed in close as they battle for victory over cobbled roads that rattle their very core — the maximum gradient can be as high as 20% on these sections of the race, making it particularly exciting for spectators.

The daring character of the race is exactly why TUDOR has become the official timekeeper. Now, TUDOR has the opportunity to support one more monument race.

TUDOR ambassador Fabian Cancellara has won the Tour of Flanders a total of three times; he will be guiding the TUDOR Pro Cycling Team as they gear up to compete in the 2024 edition of the Tour of Flanders.

TUDOR IS #BORNTODARE

In 2017, TUDOR launched a new campaign with the #BornToDare signature. It reflects both the history of the brand and what it stands for today. It tells the adventures of individuals who have achieved the extraordinary on land, on ice, in the air or underwater, with a TUDOR watch on their wrists. It also refers to the vision of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of TUDOR, who manufactured TUDOR watches to withstand the most extreme conditions, watches made for the most daring lifestyles. It is testimony to TUDOR's singular approach to watchmaking, which has made it what it is today. At the cutting edge of the watchmaking industry, its innovations are now essential benchmarks. The TUDOR #BornToDare spirit is supported throughout the world by first class ambassadors, whose life achievements result directly from a daring approach to life.
